He is working as Professor (Computer Sc & Engineering) and HOD (MCA). Also having the charge of Nodal Officer (University Exams) and Centre Superintendent (Sessional Exams). Teaching M.Tech (Computer Sc.) classes. He is Ph.D. (Computer Science) from Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra in 2006 on the topic: Checkpointing-Based Fault Tolerance in Mobile Distributed Systems, M.S. (Software Systems) from BITS Pilani in 2001 with 8.76 CGPA. and MCA from Kurukshetra University in 1989. He is also B.Sc (Non-Medical) from Kurukshetra University in 1986. He has worked as Professor (Computer Sc & Engineering)-Cum- Director (Research) in Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology {An Engineering college affiliated to Staffordshire University, UK and approved by AICTE) from 16.10.2007 to 17.09.09. He has started an international journal "International Journal of Computing Science and Communication Technologies".

He has Worked as faculty in Computer Sc & Engineering in National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur (HP) from August 91 to March 2007.

he has published Two papers in ACM journals and four papers appear in the Journals listed in Science Citation Index Expanded; Two papers will be published in Springer’s LNCS series in July 2011. One paper published in IEEE Digital Library. Contributed 47 papers in reputed International Journals. Area of interest: Mobile Computing, Distributed Systems, Fault Tolerance and Checkpointing Algorithms. Seven Research Scholars have completed their PhD in his Guidance.
