Dr. Ram Chakka obtained BE (Electrical
and Electronics 1980) and MS(Engg.) (Computer Science and
Automation, 1986) from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc)
which is most highly reputed in India. He obtained his Ph.D.
(Computer Science, 1995) from the Newcastle University,
United Kingdom. He is the Director (Research & Development)
at MIET, and has experience of over 25 years in teaching
and research. He worked at many top institutions in the
world in Information and Communication Technologies, including
Indian Institute of Science, Newcastle University, Imperial
College London, for several years. He has published over
70 papers in many high quality International journals, books
and International conferences. He is an internationally
renowned professor, several faculty members at MIET and
abroad have been doing research for Ph.D. under the supervision
of Dr. Ram Chakka. He provides and supervises excellent
final year projects in cutting-edge technologies to B.Tech.
and M.Tech. students. For this purpose he has been enhancing
a number of laboratories including the Networks Laboratory,
Software Engineering Laboratory, Communications Laboratory
and Signal Processing Laboratory. These enhancements are
very useful for high quality student projects at undergraduate
and post-graduate levels. He received a number of prestigious
academic awards. A few of his recent, internationally recognized
publications are listed below:
