Mechanical Engineering :
Mechanical Engineering is mother of all engineering. It is the first step to learn that follow all other engineering. It provides a student to learn the design, analysis of complex problems, basic concepts of engineering fundamentals, energy and its generation and working of machinery, hence it is the most important branch of engineering.
HOD:
Dr. Rajeev Kumar Agarwal was awarded his bachelor degree
in Mechanical Engineering in the year 1985 from Madan Mohan
Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur and completed M.E.
in Mechanical Engineering (Applied Thermo-Science) from
University of Roorkee, Roorkee (Presently IIT Roorkee).
He then obtained his Ph.D. in field of Mechanical Engineering.
His areas of interest are RAC, Thermodynamics and I.C. Engine.
Dr. Agarwal has almost 24 years of experience including
teaching, research and administrative experience to his
credit. He started his career as faculty in Mechanical Engineering
Department in Malviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur
(Presently MNIT, Jaipur) in January 1989.
After leaving MREC in 1990, he joined U.P. Irrigation department,
where he was actively engaged in design of radial and vertical
gates for various projects in Design Organization, Roorkee.
During his tenure in Irrigation Workshop, Meerut he was
actively engaged in manufacturing of tube well parts. He
left Irrigation department in March 2008.
He is member of professional bodies such as Indian Society
of Technical Education, Institution of Engineers (India)
and Society of technologists, Engineers and Managers. He
has several research publications to his credit in various
Journals.
